Stilton, Colston Bassett
Colston Bassett Dairy has been making outstanding, award winning cheese for over 100 years. All the milk used is sourced from local farms that sit within 1.5 miles of the dairy in the Vale of Belvoir and traditional recipes are still followed, having been handed down through generations.
Colston Bassett Stilton is a luxurious, buttery and creamy cheese with a crumbly texture and a beautiful, well developed blue veining throughout. It has a strong, full flavour and subtle fruitiness.
This cheese is aged for 10 weeks and is made with pasteurised cows’ milk and vegetarian rennet.
