Montbeliarde Gouda

Montbeliarde cattle originate from the Jura region in France and produce an exceptional quality milk, high in protein and fat. Farmer Henk has just 65 cows who graze on rich pastures in between woodland in the Gelderse valley.


Montbeliarde is made by a young company called Meester-Affineurs in Gerlderland, Netherlands. They use a combination of cold evening milk and warm morning milk to make each cheese - the fat and protein differs between the two so mixing them provides the best result. All the cheeses are then salted in sea salt, which contains more spores, elements and minerals.

This cheeses is ultra rich and buttery with a well balanced saltiness. A perfect alternative to cheddar and amazing in toasties.


This cheese is aged for 8 months and is made with raw milk and traditional rennet.
