Taronja de Gris, Orange Wine
‘Orange wine’ is made by fermenting grapes, that are usually destined for white wine, with their skins in the same way that a red would be made. This process allows the wine to pick up a copper/amber colour from the skins as well as a considerable amount of tannins.
This wine has a gorgeous orange-pick hue and a perfumed aroma, with notes of rose-hip syrup, ginger and orange peel. On the palate, there’s a twist of bitterness reminiscent of a good negroni and an evident flavour of citrus peel. The ripeness and generosity of fruit is what leaves a lasting impression.
750ml, 14.5%, Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc.
