Ventoux is a beautiful little goat’s cheese styled on Mont Ventoux, a mountain in the Provence region of Southern France, close by to where the cheese is made. The top of the mountain is bare limestone, which makes the mountain appear snow capped all year round, hence the ashed bottom and bright white tip of the cheese.
Ventoux has a smooth, fairly firm yet creamy texture with a medium strength goaty flavour.
This cheese is aged for 4 weeks and is made with raw goats’ milk and traditional rennet.
