Westcombe Cheddar

Westcombe Dairy’s history dates back to the 1890’s, where records show that a raw milk cheddar was being made on site. Edith Cannon’s original prize-winning recipe is still followed to this day, in an attempt to recapture the quality and prestige of the past. The dairy believe that the local terroir - the verdant green hills of East Somerset - play an important role in exceptional Cheddar production

Westcombe Cheddar is a wonderfully fruity and creamy cheddar with a more mellow and lactic flavour than many of its strong counterparts. 

This cheese is aged for 12 to 18 months and is made with raw cows’ milk and tradition rennet.
